Hey, everyone! It's out!

Motorola's CopperGold Lite Chip Set Delivers Low-Cost, Integrated Solution

PC OEMs and modem manufacturers can offer low-cost, highly integrated designs for high speed Internet access as a result of Motorola's new CopperGold Lite solution. The CopperGold Lite reference design enables modem manufacturers and PC OEMs to offer users an analog (V.90) solution today and next-generation DSL connection when it becomes available from service providers.

The MC143462 CopperGold Lite chip set consists of a DSL AFE, 24-bit DSP with integrated PCI 2.2 compliant interface, and the required software for V.90/G.Lite functionality. This solution was designed to be upgradeable to future standards and to support the operation of traditional V.90 analog data and fax services, or digital subscriber line (G.Lite) services.

The DSP's ability to support multiple ITU standards enables a manufacturer to ship a universal modem that is designed to connect with a variety of ADSL configurations being deployed in different regions of the world.
