Jim,
DELL gave its first of four P&F sell signal last February. The first was when it broke support at $49 while setting a lower high.

One can use different box sizes to get a different view with the granularity. This can be seen with DELL's chart on a .5pt box. On this chart, DELL has giving a couple of buy signals. However these should be considered a shorter term perspective than the normal 1pt box. On the .5pt P&F chart DELL has resistance at $40. If a P&F practitioner was looking at DELL on the .5pt box, he/she would likely wait for it to print $40.5 before entering a long position. DELL also has significant resistance at $45.

BTW: I find that P&F works better on stocks than indices (I don't really know about bonds).
