I agree that defending Clinton's actions is as futile as hammering a nail with jello. FWIW I think many people, not just liberals, were willing to look the other way on this whole saga at least in part due to a fear that the "Creepy Coalition" Republicans might yet again take control of Washington as they did in the mid 80's, when Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson et al were at the heights of their power in terms of clout within the government. For instance, how else does one explain NOW's relative silence on the matter vs. the Packwood scandal? Kinda like the saying "The devil you know is better than the devil you don't know." JM.02, pre-tax...

Realist, unlike you and your friends, I have a life outside of this forum. I also have to work for a living. So I can't spend the whole day waiting for your bitter remarks. This forum is not that high on my list of priorities. But I do like to check in from time to time.
