Is AMD including mobile procesors in its figure that over 50% of processors shipped were 40, 450, 475, or 500 MHz this quarter. I would imagine. If so, the rapid growth of AMD in the mobile retail market could explain some of that low-sounding 50% figure.

Charles ,

Re:" I am trying to understand how long it will take for AMD from K7 wafer start to *K7 module* shipouts. What is the normal flow and how long it takes for each step? Does the following sound reasonable?
15-20 days for wafer processing, 3-5 days for packaging , 3-5 days wait for test, 3-5 days for shipments to SCI, 2-3 days for QA/final test and shipout."

I wish it was that fast.

Typical numbers:

60 days for wafer out.
5 days for probe.
7 days for assy.
5 days for final test.
10 days for transit back and fro from austin/malaysia/sci

Real close to 90 days or 12 weeks.

Regards,

Kash.
