<<Henry Kaiser had a concrete boat building facility in California, and the workers all got sick from the concrete dust, >>

My friend who had the place in Florida for a year worked 15 years at a concrete plant. People with terminal cancer wouldn't want to trade lungs with him.

Kaiser ran the most efficient shipyard in human history at Richmond? Cal. They specialized in steel Liberty ships. I believe they actually built a ship in a week, or a day, or 30 minutes -- something incredibly short. He did start his medical plan there, but he had, I believe, previously pioneered prepaid group medical care at one of the major dams -- maybe Hoover (then properly known as Boulder) where he was prime contractor. His cement company was called Kaiser Permanente Cement. The phyicians coops were called Permanente Medical Groups who contracted with Kaiser Health Plan (non-profit HMO. I understand you have to make a living, but please don't ridicule or insult Kaiser. It will just cost you in the end. Not very sporting, either, to insult your victims. KHP is abandoning the NorthEast. Low performing areas will also be shut down.
I believe the concrete ships were first built during WWI. (Not by Kaiser).
