Canada royalty firms merge to create gold giant

<< Canadian royalty firms Franco-Nevada Mining Corp Ltd. (Toronto:FN.TO - news) and Euro-Nevada Mining Corp Ltd. (Toronto:EN.TO - news) announced on Thursday a merger that will create the world's fifth-largest gold company by market capitalization.

The Toronto-based sister companies, long considered two of the darlings of the ailing gold sector, said the $3.5-billion merger would create a large, liquid company with broad appeal to the investment community.

Your delight at the possible legal troubles of GATA is somehow typical of your general attitude

I take no delight in people having bad things befall those who don't provoke it.

But Bill has said some very bad things about some very powerful people and no one forced him to do so.

That's what courts are for, to settle differences when one party feels they have been wronged by another. Apparently LTCM feels they have been wronged.
