For those of you Thread Members who find yourselves lost in the Last Mile, and who don't get over to the VoIP Thread too often, I posted the following information over there several days ago concerning emerging IP protocol policies. It uses the existing PSTN and other legacy constructs and ways of thinking as a backdrop, and argues over where the 'net should be going from here.

I would be very interested in response to this one also. I do not know of a lot of ADSL service over DLC right now either. Also, is AFC sold mainly overseas and not in the US?

Well I got one of my questions answered today by an analyst at BBRS. Looks like the DLCs already deployed need to be replaced for some reason?
