You know, I wonder how much of an inhibiting effect this will have on people who might have wanted to post something on Silicon Investor. Even an alias ID can reflect on the perceived character of your posts.

For instance, how many people would Opalapril want to know that she/he posted on the SI thread entitled "Did slick Boink Monica" (see Msg# 494)?

This could be potentially embarrassing to any of us. <g>
