Tom,

I'm starting to believe that almost any system which is well understood by the person applying it and a historical basis for making money will make money if you follow the rules.

Tom,

Like you, I'm looking for a new home for my VLSI receipts. I put half of it in GSF.

I read your recent post that you're putting the cash from the Philips buyout of VLSI into JBL; is that correct? Is JBL another chip maker? How about VTSS? Why did you choose to add to JBL instead of other stocks you own or perhaps a new stock? Did you want to stay with a chip maker for your VLSI money?

Hi again, Tom. I've updated my web page, "This Week with AIM," and again have had no trades to report! I'm dying out here!! I did have another BUY in CHRZ (which is one of the AIM accounts I don't have on my page), so you won't find the stats there, unfortunately. One item to note, however, is the performance of GUMM (Gumtech). A buy and hold strategy for Gumtech, with my initial buy on November 7th, 1997, would have given me a loss of $250.00 without taking commissions into account. The AIM method has given me a profit of $6,638.07, which includes subtracting for all commissions. Now, if this isn't a testimony to a great trading strategy, I don't know what is!

By the way, Tom. I am in need of some advice, so if you don't mind letting me bend your ear, please be on the lookout for a PM.

Sincerely,
RFH
