Akula,

During the stellar education you have received ("I" and "public school system", the schools which educated you, definitely fall within the 20% that I posted; the math necessary to discuss quantum physics should have covered that) did you study freedom of speech? If so, then why would you instruct me to "shut up if (I) don't have anything intelligent to say"? Please tell me you have been educated enough to see through the lie of evolution. Welcome to adulthood. May God bless you. I gotta go watch my Spurs crush NY.

Akula, I can understand your anger and frustration. Both of my children went to public schools and public universities, and both graduated with honors. My daughter, college of business, honors. My son, college of health and human performance, highest honors. They did well in school because they knew they would have to have a good education to have a good life. They studied hard and were very serious students. And I believe they would have done this whether they were in public or private school. I've heard some horror stories about kids in public and private schools. And I think a student will do well in either, if they want to. I'm sorry to say that even though I opened this forum, you will probably not get much compassion here. It seems to have turned into a war-zone.
