Hi dgz,

consistent for us may mean something like even, homogenious, equal troughout but rock is not baloney, it varies even in the case of a "single phase" emplacement; for the geos. the results of pit 1 & 2 were consistent and are indeed consistent.

I belived someone (teevee?) mentionned there is indication the thicker segments of the 'kimberlite' are richer in diamonds and that makes sense. Indeed parts of the deposit can be richer than others but still the deposit will be consistent in that it contains diamonds troughout.
