hb,
What is the SP model you plotted? Where can I find that info and how is it derived?

Thanks,
John

Heinz, you have constructed a careful and well thought out masterpiece here that needs a micro-analytic sleuthing of the evidence. Your post is a Picasso and deserves full attention and merit.

I am going to craft my version of RENOIR AND PAINT MY HEART OUT late tonight and Sunday night. Now I must commence the masterpiece. The work has commenced.

Best, J.T.

"DJUA: has dropped back to it's 50-day EMA - a possible area of
support. note that weakness in the utilities is *not* necessarily an
alarming sign, as they are often a hiding place for 'scared' money."

Since this is a place for scared money, then shouldn't it be more of a contrarion indicator. If so, should the lack of any fear *not* be an alarming sign?

I would also add the Retailers Index (RLX) and REIT Index (RIX) as flashing warnings signs. You also have the Morgan Stanley Consumer Index (CMR) having formed a broadening top and sitting on its 200-day moving average just as last August.

The stronger indexes are the computer-related non-internet and Biotech which are overbought and most near their upper trading bands.
