Anyone here like to comment on whether the behaviour of NETP's stock fits any kind of pattern found with (a) other IPO's (b) other internut IPO's (c) IPO's providing the kind of product/service that NETP provides?

I am referring to (i) low volume (ii) 55% correction from its high (iii) base of range about 15% above its IPO price (iv) volatility of 20-30% swings above that base.

Having done my DD after I bought it, it seems that if it is to move up significantly, it has to show high double or triple percentage growth over the next six months, make major alliances which promise such growth, or be acquired.

Anyone like to give a realistic estimate of when and if it could reach $23-27-33-40.

How realistic is a downside below $15/16?

I have averaged down on this stock but am still at $28. I am trying to figure out whether I should sell, hold, or buy in that order.

Have been follow this thread for a while, actually, not much information I can get. Not only this is a new/small company but also what NETP does is not easy for ordinary people to understand. I do think web personalization market has a good future – that translates to I don't have any negative feeling about NETP. I got an idea though, and I put a little money into netG. If from what I have learn from NETG is all tangible, I give NETG 12 months target $29 without buyout and I don't have any clue of the price tag for takeover and you will lose your shirt if you speculate on takeover possibility. What I am trying to say over here is NETP price should grow proportionally to NETG (NETP could set the pace too), NETG is easier to follow, and I can see NETG effort frequently on the net.

Don't ask me why I get that $29 for netG – it's all perception from its previous stock performance.

But this article had me more confused than excited. For example,

Snyder left Microsoft in 1988 to work toward a doctoral degree in psychology at the University of Minnesota
Let's assume Snyder used to be extremely important in Microsoft, and maybe he was the chief architect who laid the foundation for Presentation Manager, but He missed the most important product cycle of Microsoft – Windows, don't you agree? Granted that he might have huge Microsoft option with him and he is very rich. Then again psychology major can have many different focus, for example, my neighbor's focus on his research was in area such as “Why this man like to collect his mother's underwear!” Not trying to be offensive here.

John Riedl, a computer science professor at the U, developed the technology, called collaborative filtering, that led to the company
This is nice isn't it? He is like Paul Allan in Microsoft dawn era. But...

Riedl, who was on leave from the U, has returned to the campus. He remains on the board.
Hmmm... Will he deserve Paul Allan type of reward if NETP ever made it? All I can say is Riedl doesn't worry about money as much as we do.

Anyway, JMHO, and will continue lurking.
