mph: Of course YMMV (your Mileage May Vary), but for me it has worked. the low fat, high carb diets that are so common just aren't working for me.

I make that white chocolate sugar free pudding (it does have some carbs by its lonesome) with whole milk and some half and half. Talk about rich and to die for!

Try reading Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution. Its a bit controversial, but right now its working for me. My only major problem is that I love fruit. So I save my carb counts for the good stuff in fruit and veggies and much less macaroni, spaghetti, rice, etc. That isn't always easy. Right now I try to limit myself to between 45-60 grams of carb per day. If I eat much more than that, I want to binge.

On Induction, Atkins advocates 20 gr. That is real hard. On the OWL (Ongoing Weight Loss) he advocates 30 grams. So I know I'm high. But I'm also constantly fine tuning this for myself as its new to me.

I just never thought I could do what I've done and now I see myself doing more...and I hve a LOT more to go.

Annie
