Capn, I think yours is a reasonable summary of where CPQ is at... except for the possibility that a solid turn-around specialist might make a go of it, especialy with 1.7 bi shares outstanding, and 4 bil in cash. I suspect that SOMEONE might be able to figure out some reasonable moves to make with all that money!

I agree we don't really know if all the bad news is out or not... if it is or is close then I think we'll trade higher than book value for a time. I still can't decide if AV is worth more as the core of a strong computer direct sales and enterprise service vehicle instead of trading it for 2 bil worth of CMGI shares, whose value may not hold passed the "inuts" wars we are experiencing now.
