<<Some of the greatest progress was made in this country between the late 1700s and
early 20th Century. Guess what, NO income taxes then, Christine. Better go back
to your drawing board! LOL. You're buying into government propaganda...>>

What kind of progress, Terrence? In those years the rich handed down money from generation to generation, mostly. Self-made men were lucky, and worked hard. Not much change there, really. Small children worked in factories and on farms, people died of hunger on a regular basis, the old were taken care of by their families or not at all, etc. Much of the population lived short, miserable lives, and slaves did quite a bit of the labor in the South.

This taxation thing is something that you seem to be utterly brainwashed about. You don't really even make any sense.
