Robert,

I have ATHM in my retirement portfolio, not my trading account. I know that I want to keep that one for a while, the same as GNET. I do think that sometimes we lose site of the forest for the trees, and we need to look at the big picture.
$50 a month buys me
1. Five martinis at the Four Seasons
2. Dinner for 4 in Chinatown
3. 1/2 pair of shoes
4. 5 large laundry detergents
5. 2 oil changes for my car
6. Several saved hours a week on the internet using broadband instead of 56K
It is really a matter of dollar allocation in a budget and not absolute cost. The $50 /month allows me to use my internet time more efficiently. I do my banking, investing, communicating faster thereby allowing either 1)more time at a revenue generating activity (net $ gain) OR 2)more time at leisure activity like golf (many net $ loss <vbg>). I don't view the cost in absolute terms but in what opportunity that it allows me.....relative value.

See you on the ATHM thread.

HeatherN
