Local congressional races in WA state are extremely important. WA is a state where we don't get a lot of politiking from the national party. Demos show up here all the time. Slade Gorton is running for the Senate again and considered a strong favorite. But with the national demos running through the state every other week and the bad publicity from repubs like Nethercut, it opens up the races. Gore has already been here and will be back again in a few weeks. Haven't seen GWB. Of course it's still early, but some people make up their minds early on.
