Judith should have hired a lawyer immediately after seeing the district court and criminal charges were involved. She was just too cheap, and she paid the price.

Touched a nerve with me here. It was an incredible story.

Too cheap? Too cheap to spend money defending yourself when you are absolutely innocent and anyone with half a brain should be able to see it? What she was was too naive. She felt being right was enough. It isn't.

The "system" did exactly what it often does. It came to the right legal conclusion in the end but only after making life painful and exhausting for everyone involved. Everyone had good intentions and hardly anyone followed through on promises without being pushed.

I suspect she has come out of this situation a little less naive. I think that is sad.
