Chip -- Danged if I'm not really slow today ... tried to get short 2 contracts at 1343 just now and missed again, while I was typing the response to you ... and I just missed another .... at 1342 ... dang, I'm going to have to change brokers .... I started typing this post to you about 45 minutes ago ... spoo was at 1342 and climbing (where I missed the short from 1343 at around 11:50 am ... and then I miss the 12:10 hit on 1342 .. Shows my mind isn't functioning properly .... the reason for the missing the last one was just got a phone call from doc in Dallas ... things are holding fairly good there with the grandson ... I remember you talking about your wife's recovery and the "Wet Log " .... Funny thing about this fall .... same knee same city similar conference similar fall while carrying reports nine years apart ... She was very stubborn last time ... took six weeks of therapy and hobbled around ... five more weeks of therapy and still hobbled but pain had diminished .... two years of no climbing stairs (I discovered that I could do whatever I wanted upstairs and she wouldn't know about it .... ggggg) then she finally had laprosopic surgery on the ligaments ... ten weeks of therapy and still hobbled and no stairs finally time recuperated her .... The ortho doc I talked to yesterday at church said that it could well have been a good thing that she injured the same knee, that the results could well be mitigated by the previous surgery and that the fact that she was able to walk yesterday without the use of crutches was an excellent sign... however, I did make an appointment for her for Thursday afternoon here after she returns home. The grandson is still under some sedation so I'll wait until tomorrow to go to Dallas to see him .... no car accident .... he's 13 .... was a bicycle deal .... a bunch of his friends have constructed a bike jump over a drainage ditch down the street from his house .... seems as if he'd "raised the bar" and increased the height/length to obtain a new neighborhood record ...... gggg just didn't quite make it .... Heck, I can't fault him, he just operates on the genes he inherited and he got the competitive drive from both sides ..... I'm glad that he's resting and who knows ... this accident could well be something that saves his life later on down the road .... he might have learned a valuable lesson, or I can hope so anyway .... Just talked to one of the secretaries in Marilyn's office and she and the superintendent are both doing fine in Austin ... said neither one missed my ministrations ..... gggggg Thanks for the kind wishes .... Marilyn is a tough bird ... she told me this was a minor deal compared to the last one, but I've now got to go find an upper body machine so she can stay on the exercise regimen for her heart .... she had a triple bypass nearly 4 years ago .... the ortho doc said she'd not need to have the concentrated 45 minute workout that the cardiologist demands for at least a month .... so I'm to find an arm machine ..... I was thinking about rigging one to a generator so she could produce some electricity to power some of my computers ...... ggggg talk to ya'll later when I get back ..... Nemer
