I just noticed that we are starting to check on what the kids of our great nation are using. I think were getting away from the real point, what is it that we want. WE! Will probably be around using computers for quite a while,( I hope) and I think the way we are all talking we want more speed, better interacting, and again FASTER DOWNLOAD TIME, I used to get so annoyed with waiting for something to download. It got to a point at time that I forgot what I was going to do with the information (after I went and watched a little TV )then came back and saw that my download was complete. Or you have been disconnected please try again later. The last and finale part, look at the caliber of people buying into high speed access,be it wireless, cable or what ever, THATS THE INVESTMENT FOR THE FUTURE.

Between friends. Broadband isn't just about work. Russell Horowitz, CEO of Paul Allen-blessed portal Go2Net, tells Business Week multiplayer games will be the first killer app of the broadband world. Likewise, teenagers will be early adopters of home videoconferencing. The Clearasil set already digs conference calls and is sure to embrace the visual element.

Frank, In my experience, if your interest is email, a board, and a chat room, 56k vs cable is not a big thing. I know that when I left AOL for ATHM the "buddy list" loss was a big one. I could always tell when someone I knew was on, which I enjoyed, and I am 64, for christ's sake! Imagine what it means to a 14 year old.
