And isn't the reason we are exploring these philosophies because the Age of Reason, all our Science and Technology have made religion old-fashioned and faith an almost impossible concept? Just as the Greeks and Romans eventually enjoyed their gods and goddesses, knowing that they were not real, but holding to the traditions and festivals as their cultural heritage? If Science is to be the next mythology, it will need somehow to incorporate all those wonderful things good myths have- dark and light, and earth mothers, heroes, and journeys, and rebirths.. (2001?)
