<< it is very possible that 5/26/99 marked the bottom of the 9 month cycle.>> Skipperr, I'm not questioning the timing of the end of the cycle. A couple of weeks one way or the other doesn't matter. What I question is the "bottom". If this is in fact a 9 month cycle, after the market's rising so much, wouldn't it be the top of the cycle? When we're looking at the prospect of interest rate increases going forward, my bet would be on the market topping out now. Maybe I don't understand how "bottom" is being used.
