No, it's right. It's not well defined what "% greater than" really means, so different people use different approaches. You should always use the approach which makes you look the best.

t = tdfx
c = creaf
d = dimd

suppose t = 100 (tdfx sold 100 units)

c = (1 - .89) * 100 = 11
d = (1 - .55) * 100 = 45

c+d/100 = 55%

So, creative and diamond sold 55% of tdfx, or tdfx outsold them by 45%.
