I thought it was standard that x is p% greater than y means:

(x-y)/y = p/100

not

(x-y)/x = p/100

The latter expression rarely makes sense.

>c = (1 - .89) * 100 = 11
>d = (1 - .55) * 100 = 45

So why wouldn't they say "122% more than diamond" and "809% more than creative labs"?

100 / c = 1 + 8.09
100 / d = 1 + 1.22

Silly, those guys at 3dfx P.R. :)
