Friends-
The CC also gave us some other interesting info:
*Commercial shipments of generation II Batteries to Alliant will begin later this week.
*Alliant's near term demand ramping-up faster than expected $ VLNC struggling to get production speed up.
*There will be some (sounded like very small) revenues from sales in 1st Qtr rept, most of Hanil & Alliant revenues will begin in 2nd qtr (background jesting; second speaker points out 2nd Qtr starts today)
*Alliant is getting a special machine to manufacture vlnc lic batteries in any custom form-factor in small volumes for military. Alliant will prototype custom batteries for vlnc's testing & marketing efforts.
*Close ongoing relationship w Everready - "set us back", customers held off plans waiting to see what happens to EPS/Everready (confirming our collective assessment)
*It was not clear to me that Lev's comments re a brandad battery meant a Valence brand - he mentioned right after that was what they were doing w Everready, didn't he?...(memory test)...I took his comments to mean might use another, established brand. **Help me with this, please!!**
*Hanil will have very short testing period w oems due to nationalistic buking pressures, and nature of bus relationships in Koreas (long term/ kaebol driven)
*Hanil purchases larger than expected.
*Lev made refrences to a laptop w flat-panel batt running 8 hrs w movies or spreadsheets going... I could imagine he was speaking of a specific prototype when I listened - but nothing explicit (ok-that was pretty soft info!)
More anyone?
W apologies for my spelling today-
Bob

I suspect the "expressions of interest in selling" are nothing more than smoke, at least in the case of VLNC. If you look at the holders of this stock, the only ones with positions of that size are insiders and an index fund. So, unless Berg, et. al. are bailing (which doesn't seem likely), no one else has postions that big unless they're shorting the market. Which I devoutly hope is the case, because if they're short, they're gonna get CRUSHED.
