Would you call that an oversimplification? Of course its easier to say rather than do.AOL is a can do operation.Wait and watch.You shorts are so predictable.Same old rhetoric.The players change but the tired old cliches remain.

Your absolutely correct on that point. AOL has signed with SBC and Bell Atlantic for DSL services, and Hughes for satellite connectivity.
Meanwhile, the same hurdles must also be overcome by the likes of other broadband players. It is well known that building out cable connectivity infastructure on a large scale cost millions ... not to mention the time to market.

In the end, I wouldn't worry to much about AOL riding the fat pipes of other access providers. AOL gets to focus on it's core competency, and the access companies get to focus on their respective responsiblities.
