I too have a cable modem and more and more people will as well as DSL and other routes that don't tie up the phone. This NTOP is really a useless gimmick IMO. Also, try using it; the quality is so bad as to be virtually unusable, even with the high speed I have. Part of the problem is the mike/speaker echo problem reported by many people. A headphone/boom mike gets around this problem but how many people will shell out over $100 for that? The real problem with NTOP that can't be easily solved is the inherent packet delays in your ISP path through the internet that IDT has no control over. How this hoopla has progressed this far is testimony to the ridiculous hype about anything "internet" these days.
