To all - I forgot to do some serious ranting regarding the (stupid) Federal Reserve.

What I think is going on is -- at inflection points in things (weather conditions, stock market stuff, political leanings, inflation/deflation, etc.), it takes clever people to sense the change.

To me, it seems increasingly likely that the economy is turning RIGHT NOW.

But, to brain-dead observers, the safest prediction is always : today's weather will most likely be the same as yesterday's weather.

That is the full extent of the analysis of the economy by our "esteemed" Federal Reserve, right now.

It's too bad.

They missed the whole turn in 1990-1991. (By the way, I did not. My own interest rate futures trading records available for audit, if anyone really cares).

I assume they will miss the turn this time also.

Jon.
