In real estate they say location is everything. My house, 3,800 sq' with a two car garage and 5 acres would be worth a bunch in your area. Here they're a dime a dozen. People moving here from the coasts have really skewed prices. $500k would get you a home about 8,000 sq' and a three car garage in my neighborhood.
