Darrell, you don't understand that in the distant past, and even in some remote tribes today, cannibalism was practiced. Not only that, slavery was the norm in the Ancient Mediterranean region, and continued to be practiced on the fringes of Europe, and in the Islamic world, up until the modern era. Even today, in the Sudan and Madagascar, there is slavery. Further, there were slaves in the United States, so who are we to judge? And the Donner party practiced cannibalism, kind of...Therefore, there is nothing particularly sacred about either freedom, or human life itself...
