Therefore, the ones who hold the total responsibility for what happened in Columbine HS and elsewhere, are the PARENTS of the gun"boys". How can one say with a straight face, "We had no idea where this came from." In professional businesses, there is a legal concept of "knew or should have known." Legal liability exists if someone accepts a position of authority in certain livelihoods. This is the way it should be. If one is not willing to accept the liability, one should not expect the benefit. Such is the case in parenting if it is true anywhere in the universe.

Realist, I agree with you about the parents being responsible for their children. So many children nowdays have no disipline, are spoiled rotten, and in my opinion, need the fear of God put into them. Or at least the fear of their parents and other authority figures in their lives. By fear, I mean respect.
