Thanks for you comments. Agree there are some fund vehicles that would be fine with AIM. Certainly Sector funds and Country funds and/or closed end funds would be great. Here you are not betting on a single company but rather a whole country or a sector which will always tend to jump around but is diversified enough to be around for a long time. Imagine buying the Russian fund and riding that- Would have been perfect. Course I don't know that I wouldn't have panicked after the russian market melted down.

My comment was more directed to balanced mutual funds or sector funds.

By the way I do own UOPIX. I think the other perfect solution to investing is Index funds. So why not leverage it with UOPIX!
Actually I will consider creating an AIM account with UOPIX. That could be good!
