I have not researched the state approval issue. I would assume that if interest in using the FAST1 is widespread among prestigious practitioners, and it is used in some states for first line access with some frequency and without untoward incident, that the states will all line up and change their regulations. I did suggest to DR. Johnson that Pyng start a web site which could coordinate information among users, researchers, and regulators, and we should press them on this. You're right that the process may take years. On the other hand, a change in protocol to use the FAST1 as backup is more modest and since there are few good alternatives for such patients, one would expect the states to act promptly here. There also seems to be considerable interest in trying the device out in hospitals, and even if use rates are low in hospitals, do not neglect the initial stocking demand. Even if it does take years, the FAST1 has a potential for a market of some size. Bruce Horwood of Maricopa told me this am that it would have more uses than Pyng indicates. My main worry is whether the cash flow will grow fast enough to put the company safely in the black. A military order of 7 figures would go far to solve this potential problem. But the enough promise is there that the company may be able, if necessary, to raise additional dilutive capital on terms that are not too bad. Just my opinion.
