Charles, Thanks for the info but, personally, I find Michael Kelly's critique pretty stupid.... Here's one of his silly gems:The emerging all-Albanian reality of Kosovo underscores the underlying fraud of the Clinton Doctrine, which is the idea that what the West is forging in the Balkans is a triumph for pluralism and democracy. It was a very good thing that the United States finally acted to stop the Serbs' slaughter in Kosovo, as it was a very good thing when it finally acted to stop the Serbs' slaughter in Bosnia. But it is nonsense to pretend that these accomplishments gave rise to a reversal of ethnic cleansing or anything like a pluralistic democracy. Such a fraud! The ''all-Albanian reality'' goofy Kelly is referring to was already in place prior to Milosevic's ethnical cleansing: 90% Albanian vs. 10% Serbs . It looks like some bigot observers still don't get the picture! Kelly should take a rest in Israel or in Northern Ireland to see firsthand how hatred is preventing two different communities to mix with each other in the same neighborhoods --or perhaps he should travel across the U.S.A., in the segregationist South, back in the 1950s, that is! You just cannot expect Albanians to forgive the Serbs 10 days after their expelling of their homeland's been reversed and when Kosovo is still plagued by landmines, and Russian/Greek/Serbian mercenaries on the loose. In 4 to 6 years from now, Serbs will most likely be allowed to come back in Kosovo and to live ''cheek by jowl'' among Albanians --as Jews will one day be allowed to live peacefully in Jericho and in the Gaza Strip, and as Protestant Brits will one day be allowed in Catholic Northern Ireland. But such a reconciliation process takes TIME. Jewish folks have a special festivity called Yom Kippour , Grand Pardon in French, but they still have to abide by it when it comes to their Palestinian foes....
