Chris, I simply do not know of a way for you to play this. You could play the currencies with options, but I think higher bond prices will eventually be good for the yen. You can buy bonds from a Japanese bank, but borrowing them to sell short would be very difficult. The only way I see to do it would be to open an account with a Japanese brokerage firm. However, I have real good contacts with one such firm and they are loath to lend me bonds to short. Sort of unpatriotic. So, if you find any venues, let me know. This is the sort fo thing that makes Soros richer than us. <g> Well, some other stuff, too.
