How do you conect them all to the internet, all boxes thru one ISP connection or 1 box/ISP ?
I would like to connect my laptop and the desk top box and don't want to use the other phone line. Is this possible ?

Several methods, Hal ....

Two Win 98 boxes can be networked together via a twisted pair Catagory 5 crossover cord....
I've done the before, and it "seems" that I remember either one will access internet through a single phone line and a single ISP connection. ... notice I said "seem to remember" .... cause it has been a good while since I did it.

My current method is WINGATE networking software and ethernet cards in each machine connected into a hub using regular Catagory 5 patch cords.
My Dell laptop has to use a PICMA (or similar to that (sp) ) card and the same network as the regular boxes.

WinGate should be more simple so I wouldn't have had so much difficulty ..... gggggg
Heck, I just went and got some help ...
but I was hooking up four boxes with one printer and one scanner and two of the boxes were without some of the vital parts due to being scavenged .... such as no CD and one even not having a floppy either.
but "WE" did get it done .

I juggle the setup all the time ...
Marilyn had the laptop in Austin and I had taken one of the boxes over to the bunged up grandson so today I only had three boxes to pick use.
But, I have one more under construction and one more planned ....

You can do it ...
