First off, I don't consider Clinton as my "hero". It is just that I regard him as less flawed than the people who were out to get him. Of course, he has to accept the consequences of his actions. Which is why I feel that Starr should pursue his case even after Clinton's term is over.

Second, I know that you have been a "perma bear" for a long time. So, it is no surprise that you are frustrated that your predictions haven't come true. And naturally, you find it convenient to pin the blame on Clinton! Two birds with one stone! You have an excuse for why you are wrong, and the excuse is that it's all because of the guy you hate! Brilliant! <G>

Well, on the brighter side, at least you have some company as far as bearishness is concerned! <G> There is the "Georgia Peach Bear" (the guy who has been calling for Dow 400 ?), the "Chicago Honey Bear", the "Montana Grizzly Bear" etc. etc. I believe some of them can't even afford to rent an apartment now! :-)

Third, about that list that you produced. Have you heard of the "eerie similarities" list between the assassination of Lincoln and that of Kennedy? How does one produce such lists? Simple. Take all the evidence that you have. Everything. Then keep throwing away the items that don't fit the conclusion that you have in mind. I recall seeing such an "eerie similarities" list between Apollo 13 and the space shuttle "Challenger" somewhere. Doesn't mean anything, other than that somebody has put his/her creativity to work!
