Actually, the National Cathedral (on the grounds of which is St. Albans), is sort of on a hill, but no mule:-)...I just wanted to put this family farm thing in perspective. Not only did Gore Sr. need to keep his Tennessee identity, but Gore Jr. was mindful of creating a persona. In my opinion, that is why he is so wooden, he is neurotically calculating, and terrified of being spontaneous. I met a couple of guys somewhat like that during the brief time I hung up around there...
