I thought your state of CA invented tax.

California taxes are set up to seriously punish people who don't own homes.

Unfortunately, you have to be a millionaire to own an 1100 sq. ft. home within 5 miles of my office.

It didn't INVENT tax, but it sure has PERFECTED the art of taxation.

Everyday I give thanks to the voters of California who passed PROP 13 about 22 years ago.

If it wasn't for that Proposition, the local property tax collectors would have us all paying $20,000/year in property taxes - and keep jacking it up each year.
