One might assume Valence chose the CC financing to lure in scammers and shorters and burn them at the right time. Sending the Valence shares skyward.

I like that scenario. Makes as much sense as Noways.

mooter775;

I mentioned to Rich Wolf that that the most likely candidate was CC. I mentioned that CC is known for this kind of thing. Convertible debentures and shorting against them until they force the stock into a death spiral. I mentioned that I was sure that the shorting was professional and gave the reasons why. I did not mention that CC must have backed off previously because they know that any one of the directors could personally take on the debt and buy the debentures back. They know that 7 mill. is not enough to force anyone's hand here. I have previously, mentioned that I guessed that the less than 1/2 share offering seems like short term financing and that VLNC must be expecting some other source of revenue since it amounts to about what? Six weeks worth of overhead.

However, I also mentioned the possibility of a potential competitor doing it in Street name through several brokers and gave a possible motive. That is just speculation, a possibility. Please read my posts. For the most part I agree with you. Also your sharing the history of this financing is most helpful. Possibly it will all end by mid summer unless CC finances a new contract.
