Taking a nibble in the last hour today if there is a little pullback OR no matter what.

No one ever answered my question about if management had the magic. I guess no one knew. I gather from the thread that he does.

But with their new graphics chip and Diamond Rio, sugar plums of $50/share by next summer are dancing in front of me. Diamond Rio is the leader in MP3, and I like to buy leaders in NEW, GROWTH industries. Anyone have a Diamond Rio? Seems like a neat toy.
What do they cost; where can you buy them?

Bon Chance!

Hi All,

Just stopped by for a quick lurk after seeing the unusual move on my screen. The first question that came to my mind after reading the PR is: How much of the surprise is due to investment income on last years sale of USC stock?

Regards,

Don

After hanging in so long, passing up greater opportunities, we may get
a nice return on our investment after all.

Believe you are right in that once S3 starts reporting positive earnings, we
will see the stock climb to a level more reflective of its intrinsic
value.

Mind you, it is still trading below the total of the fab value and cash,
not to mention the value of its other assets. So, we still would need
to see at least the mid 10s not even considering multiples or the NPV of
future earnings.

A nice turnaround in the making.

Also, the volume dried up quite a bit. Not too many sellers left anymore.

Isn't S3 working with Via (Taiwan) to make use of the shared patents & licensing rights they have with Intel? How does Via's purchase of Cyrix, and ignoring the Intel lawsuit against them, affect S3? Does Intel have any reason to attack S3 in order to hurt Via?
