"Onyx has a strategy...Saleslogix has a product and it is being installed and is already running...also according to a good source Saleslogix is the only group out of the whole Sales Automation bunch that has truely figured out the synchronization problem...maybe these are the fits that they are giving to Onyx"

On YHOO Vantive thread:

"The reason for today's move is IBM's Corepoint division (which competes with VNTV and Siebel) got dismantled...this was on the InfoWeekDaily e-mail this morning, although I did not see it as a press release direclty from IBM. Lots of top Corepoint people left it said. IBM consolidated the Corepoint operations into it's E-Commerce business unit.

What does this mean? One less tough competitor or possibly an IBM buyout if they "couldn't get it right themselves?". That's purely speculation and I'm not saying it could happen. Just a possible explanation for what we're seeing today in VNTV's stock price. "

Could this be what is causing SLGX to move today?

SLGX hit a new historic (hah, 1 month) high of 5 3/4.
