True, but that was an aeon ago, webwise, and many small-time retailers have a lot more staked on EBAY than anyone ever did on AOL back then. I still like EBAY as a long, and will probably reenter, but I have to say the management reaction to the outage unnerved me a little--more Doug Ivester than James Burke...
