...apparently run by bean-counters. Where's the beef here? How does the customer benefit? The only advantage went to Wal-Mart because they got a desperate player (Sorry, Rob, but its true) to concede good terms...something Wal-Mart excels in doing.

Almost anyone can compete with an 800-pound gorilla if he sends chimps to do his fighting.

There are still a lot of people who shop at Wal-mart, right? I can see it now - displays at Wal-mart checkout counters advertising BAMM and other Wal-mart web offerings. Or better yet, Wal-mart cashiers handing out coupons for 5% off your BAMM purchases. Wal-mart needs to capitalize upon the captive audience of all the customers that continue to flow through its bricks & mortar stores every day. The bricks & mortar stores will actually allow Wal-mart to do low-cost, very targeted advertising for it's web site. What's WMT trading at these days? Is it possible that Wal-mart is the next Amazon (that is in terms of rapid stock price appreciation)?
