However, should note that "free PCs" are an attempt by ISPs to add users in less affluent areas... Briefing.com agrees with Michael Dell that as users spend more time on their PCs they tend to trade up to more powerful machines... Move likely to result in additional buyers down the road... That said, the move to (in essence) give PCs away adds to downward pressure on prices for all machines... Remains a battle between unit growth and declining costs v. declining prices
