Mattson and CFM Collaborate to Develop Cleaning Solutions - Mattson and
CFM Technologies will jointly develop dry and wet cleaning solutions,
focusing on developing an integrated cleaning solution. Process
integration is the need to of the day, whether it be the front-end
metallization or the strip and clean processes. Gasonics has its own
unique approach with its Integrated Clean technology to approach the same
end result and the two leaders in stripping are angling to offer
semiconductor companies an end-to-end solution. We estimate Gasonics
currently has a 29% market share while Mattson has a 27% share.

Off today and lackluster the past few trading days on low volume.
Any ideas on what is happening? People too busy buying the
gorillas after the Fed announcement? Can't really complain
since I bought some of my shares at 3 1/4, just wondering.

Any word on whether they filled enough of their growing backlog of orders to break even in the 2nd qtr? Maybe that is part of the
doldrums.
