We are each our own person. Why should I aspire to be like E? I am happy, successful, have many friends and great self-esteem. I have had and will have many adventures in my life and am rarely bored. The virtues you say I lack are in your subjective judgment of which I care not a wit!

Number 2 is important. What kind of people you converse with (offline) does much to formulate one's perspective of the comings and goings on this small planet.

Thank you, Joan. It's true, i talk to a lot of people, i travel a lot, and might watch television a little more, but i'm spending too much time here. I asked a friend of mine why she didn't get a computer, it was so useful, and so much fun, and she said, "I don't have the time, I have to watch television." (It was a joke; I thought it was pretty funny. She said it because she notices that I've seen so few shows that she mentions.)

It was horrid having my computer crash. It happened during a thunder storm. There seem to be conflicting views about whether that might have caused it; but just in case, i think any time it starts to look like lightning out there, one should go turn off one's computer.
