Gardner,

Potential threats certainly would not come from CMGI!

I would think that any potential threats would also be the potential suitors from the Rumor Mill we have all heard about: INTC, IBM, etc.

I have read (somewhere) that EXDS wins a large majority of the contracts they submit bids for. I would think that a startup or CMGI product would be very, very far behind to make much of a dent against a company like this, unless the market changes substantially and EXDS is slow to react. IBM or INTC are big enough to enter the fray and would have enough resources to buy their way in to this market, but then the question becomes if it is cost effective to just buy EXDS.

From my point of view, it has become pretty clear that EXDS has played their hand perfectly, and will benefit from both acquisition speculation and massive revenue growth. If they get acquired--great. If they don't, they seem poised to become profitable, and more importantly, will most likely achieve the critical point of positive cash flow, in the relatively near future. Without being bought out, this would fuel this company into a market cap well in excess of $10M, IMO.

But my money would bet on an acquisition very soon, especially if we get a Net/tech run this month.
