Eric: My understanding is that as far as the ATHM installation, the strategy is that as they move to the new technology (I'm fuzzy on the exact details of this) that the consumer can do the installation themselves. Is this correct? So for those people who already have cable, the installation process would not be limiting.

Please correct me if I'm confused on this.

Thanks,
Greg

I live in the Seattle suburbs(microsoft country). I have called TCI twice this past year inquiring about ATHM availability. I was told that TCI was unsure when service would be provided but they estimated 12-18 months. I promptly sold all my ATHM at $148/sh.

I have serious doubts about the viabilty of ATHM service when the service is not available in one of the more high tech areas of the country. When will ATT/TCI start acting like competent business people and not boobs?
